What do you like most about derby?
I love the people. Everyone is so genuinely kind and amazing, you always have someone cheering for you. Joining this team was like stepping in to a family.
Tell us about your derby name and number.
My husband and I have animal "alter egos", and from day one, he said I was a honey badger. So Badger became my email, gamer tag, everything. Buzzkill Badger seemed like a natural progression of who I am becoming.
How many pets do you have? What kind?
I have an incredibly fat cat named Rory. He is addicted to Little Debbie snacks (Oatmeal Cream Pies and Christmas Tree Cakes are his favorite) and donuts. He steals them unless we hide them from him. He enjoys catnip, and long naps on his back.
How long have you been skating and playing roller derby?
My first job was at the skating rink in Troy, and I met my husband there. I stopped skating for about 15 years, and then joined this team in July 2025.
